It’s a win to watch March Madness in Philadelphia at Live! Casino & Hotel

The month of March holds many highly-anticipated events.

There’s Mardi Gras, which brings out everyone’s Big Easy spirits, St. Patrick’s Day, which has the city turn green, and of course, March Madness in Philadelphia.

The latter seems to bring out the competitive spirit in sports fans and those just looking to see some amazing athletic feats in the form of college basketball. In the City of Brotherly Love, March Madness (now through April 4), holds a special place in Philadelphians’ hearts.

This Friday, two Philly-area teams—the University of Delaware and Villanova— will go head to head at 2:45 p.m. Whether that game or any others heat up your basketball spirit, you need a great place to watch. And Sports & Social wants to be your go-to for a court-side seat.

Located inside South Philly’s Live! Casino & Hotel (900 Packer Ave.), this venue offers a triple threat of a space featuring a restaurant, gaming venue and social lounge— with their FanDuel Sportsbook and Lounge serving as the hub of all March Madness activity. Live games will be aired on their 52-foot LED screen, and guests can take advantage of food and drink specials, which include $1 Bud Lights, $1 Bud Light Next cans, select half-priced appetizers and $10 all-you-can-eat cheese fries and popcorn.

It’s an easy pick for large parties as well when looking for where to spend your time for March Madness in Philadelphia. Sports fans can reserve a watch party for large groups or inquire about premium reserved seating by emailing Events@SportsSocialPhilly.com. And while there, fans can also participate in giveaways, contests, games and more.

There is more than one way to win big, even if you aren’t suiting up to be out on the court.

According to a release, at FanDuel, sports bettors that place a $50 wager on a March Madness game between March 17-April 4, can visit fanduel.com/bracketbonus and enter their Bet Slip ID located at the top of their ticket for a chance to win $500. Bet $500 or more from March 17-20 or March 24-27 and you will receive a voucher for a free muffin and small coffee from Termini Brothers Bakery at the 10th Street Market, but guests must be a Live! Rewards Card member to participate in the FanDuel promotions.

If the Sports Book isn’t in your roster of spots to try when looking for March Madness in Philadelphia however, Live! Philadelphia also has a variety of other viewing locations with hundreds of LED TV screens around the casino floor. The R Bar offers a viewing experience with a 40-foot-long video screen as the centerpiece of a stadium-style electronic table game arena. Center Bar, on the other hand offers 360 degree views of the gaming action, drink specials and live entertainment from local DJs Jerry Blavat and Eric Bartello on Thursdays and Sundays.

March Madness festivities also coincide with the launch of the casino’s Mega Jackpot Madness. This new “mystery progressive slots program” offers the chance to win anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000. Each Mega Jackpot will start at $10,000 and will grow every time an eligible guest makes a spin on an eligible slot machine (excludes video poker and electronic table games) with their Live! Rewards Card.

What’s interesting about this specific promotion is the jackpot increases until somebody wins, and somebody is guaranteed to win by the time the pot reaches $50,000. Once the prize is awarded, the Mega Jackpot resets back to $10,000 and it starts all over again. The program will run until May 30, or, until five jackpots are hit. Lastly, the lucky promotions (it is St. Patty’s Day after all) continue each time one of the five Mega mystery jackpots hits, a 60-minute frenzy begins for 10 Free Play jackpots that are guaranteed to hit during the next hour for $500-$1,000 in Free Slot Play.
