New Concepts Announced for Fourth Street Live!

Angel’s Rock Bar and Tengo Sed Cantina to Debut as Part of Dynamic Enhancements to the District

BALTIMORE, MD – The Cordish Company and Hogan Real Estate announced today that Angel’s Rock Bar and Tengo Sed Cantina will open in the downtown restaurant and entertainment district in spaces formerly occupied by Parrot Beach and Palm Bar.  Angel’s Rock Bar and Tengo Sed Cantina are owned by FSL Entertainment LLC and the director of operations is Jerry Watson.

Angel’s Rock Bar, a $1,000,000 rock club and bar, will be located on the second level of Fourth Street Live!  Featuring live and recorded music the 7,000 square foot venue will combine the best elements of a world-class club venue with the attitude of a neighborhood pub.  Classic and comfortable with splashes of decadence, different areas in the venue allow its guests to rock out around multiple bars or be extravagant in the unique stadium style plush booths overlooking the action.  A stage for live music and 20 foot video wall complete the venue’s innovative design.  Angel’s Rock Bar was designed by Tim Schollert and Jae Lee of the famed MUSE New York architectural firm (Pangaea and Gryphon at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and Rum Jungle [as part of Jeffrey Beers]).

This will be the second rock club for experienced and successful restaurant and entertainment operator Jerry Watson; the first rock club opened in 2006 and is the dominant club in the Houston, Texas market.

“We have been looking for the perfect opportunity to expand a wildly successful rock concept and Louisville and Fourth Street Live! is a perfect fit,” stated Watson.  “There is no other club like it in the market.  With our high energy rock soundtrack, Angel’s Rock Bar will allow guests to enjoy the music they love in a cool, hip atmosphere that offers the dynamics of a club yet none of the pretense.”

Tengo Sed Cantina will open near Angel’s Rock Bar in 5,000 square feet.  The concept offers a cool, eclectic hang-out with great Mexican food, lively atmosphere, disarmingly good margaritas and an outdoor deck overlooking 4th Street below. Tengo Sed Cantina is all fiesta, no siesta.

“Fourth Street Live! is set for incredible additions in the coming months and Angel’s Rock Bar and Tengo Sed Cantina will add to the energy of the District.  To blend the talents of an experienced operator like Jerry Watson with an internationally recognized design team and a cutting edge concept is an exciting addition to Fourth Street Live! and the City of Louisville,” stated Blake L. Cordish, Vice President of The Cordish Company.

Both Angel’s Rock Bar and Tengo Sed Cantina will be open before Derby 2007. Fourth Street Live! is a development of The Cordish Company and Hogan Real Estate.
