Power Plant Live! Builds on Nearly Three Decades of Success with New Entertainment Concept and Venue Upgrades

Power Plant Live will add a new bar and kick off upgrades to a nearly 20-year-old nightclub as the summer winds down.

Rally's Corner Bar is set to open at the entrance of the fully leased downtown landmark on Sept. 10, Power Plant Live owner the Cordish Cos. announced Tuesday morning. Two days later, the Mosaic Ultra Lounge will unveil renovations that are set to begin later this month.

Baltimore's neighborhood corner bars inspired the atmosphere at Rally's, which will open in the former Tin Roof space. Rally's will host customers for sporting events, as well as before and after concerts at Power Plant Live's Nevermore Hall and other nearby venues like Soundstage and CFG Bank Arena, according to a news release. The bar will also offer live band karaoke, DJs, themed events and Saturday night parties. Rally's will feature indoor and outdoor bars, 15 TVs, two high-definition projection screens and an exterior patio with a bar and fire pits. Philadelphia icon Geno's Steaks, which opened at the complex in March, will provide food.

A Power Plant Live mainstay, meanwhile, will get a round of updates starting Aug. 16. Mosaic Ultra Lounge, which opened in 2008, will add state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, an updated DJ booth, new LED displays and programmable lighting. The lounge will also have "refreshed" design elements and "photo-worthy moments," according to the news release. Power Plant Live did not disclose how much the renovations will cost.

“Our continued investment in the district reflects both the strength of the destination today and our confidence in its future," Scott Steenrod, chief operating officer of Live Hospitality & Entertainment, said in a statement. "We remain committed to enhancing the guest experience, introducing new concepts and contributing to the continued growth and vitality of downtown Baltimore."

Other tenants at Power Plant Live include Angels Rock Bar, Leinie Lodge & Beer Garden, PBR Baltimore and Underground Pizza Co. The restaurant and entertainment destination is the third-largest tourist attraction in Greater Baltimore, drawing 3.2 million visitors in 2025, according to Baltimore Business Journal research.
Cordish Cos. Chairman David Cordish told the Baltimore Business Journal in June that he attributes part of the complex's leasing success to a renaissance in the area following the 2024 demolition of Baltimore City Community College's Bard Building across the street. The hulking, vacant building has been replaced by a new urban park.
